| “Great Wheel Basic” is a basic idea, if you would call it basic. This work is based off of the curvilinear perspective formula. When I made this it is to push the boundaries of “Warped Space.” It is perhaps the most complex design I made up to date. I used the complex coloring to give it more light as well. I always wanted to make this piece and could not find the time and the tools. I eventually made it when I got access to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. One of the features you can find on “Great Wheel Basic” is the image of triangles making different stars, like the Star of David but with twelve points to the star rather than six. Twelve is an amazing number as it is divisible by two, three, and four. I illustrated more lines to intersect with each other so that I can have the intertwining movement giving the idea a more complex and harmonic appeal. During the process of making the work it can get hard, complicated, and even tiresome getting all the points in the spiral. I always liked playing with geometry and plan on making more very intricate, mathematical, and mystical designs. |
